Meco Kartopia hosted a busy fifth round of the 2026 Indian National Karting Championship on 5 and 6 September. Arshi Gupta won the Mini Max final for Leap Frog Racing, while Zidaan Arshaan Anees, Akshat Mishra and Hridaan Sanadhya completed a four-class results picture at the Bengaluru circuit.

The weekend carried the close margins and quick changes that make national karting such a useful proving ground. Drivers had to find speed through a compact circuit, manage contact in the pack and keep enough control to make the final laps count. Evo India reported the Round 5 results on 7 September, with the Meco Motorsports calendar confirming the meeting dates and venue.

Gupta turns another Mini Max final into a win

Gupta produced the clearest headline of the weekend by taking her second consecutive Mini Max final victory at Meco Kartopia. The Leap Frog Racing driver finished ahead of Ridhaan Anil Kumarr of Red Rabbit Racing, with Shivneel Karthikeyan of MSPORT completing the podium.

The result followed another strong weekend at the same circuit in Round 4. Gupta had won both the pre-final and final at that meeting, then carried the pace into the 6 September Round 5 final. Evo India reported an eight second gap to Kumarr at the finish, a substantial margin in a class where the opening laps can quickly turn into a traffic management exercise.

Three more classes add depth to the meeting

Zidaan Arshaan Anees took the Micro Max victory for Peregrine Racing. Ayansh Patil of MSPORT held second, with Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat of Leapfrog Racing third. The result gave the Bengaluru meeting a second winner who could control the race from the front while the fight behind remained active.

Akshat Mishra made it two Peregrine Racing class wins by taking Senior Max. His race included early pressure, with Rohaan Madesh running close before a collision removed the Peregrine Racing kart from the contest. The Senior Max result showed how quickly the shape of a final can change when a small incident reaches the front of the pack.

Hridaan Sanadhya of Crest Motorsports won Junior Max. The Pune driver’s victory completed the four-class summary and placed a different kind of development story alongside the front-running work in Mini Max, Micro Max and Senior Max.

Why the Meco rounds matter

Karting remains one of the most direct ways to learn racecraft. There is little bodywork to hide behind, the braking zones arrive quickly and a driver has to understand positioning before moving into a larger car. The lessons appear in the first corner, though they mature across a season of heats, pre-finals and finals.

Meco Kartopia also gives the Indian calendar a useful local centre. Bengaluru drivers can compete at a familiar venue, teams can build a working rhythm and visiting competitors can measure themselves against a circuit with a strong national championship identity. That combination helps the results travel beyond one weekend.

A result worth carrying into the next round

Gupta leaves Round 5 with the strongest immediate momentum, while Anees, Mishra and Sanadhya take class wins that will shape their own championship campaigns. Kumarr and Karthikeyan also leave with podium results, and the Micro Max and Senior Max battles underline how much can change before the next final.

The available visual record is deliberately kept to one verified image. It shows the Round 5 class winners with their trophies and the Meco, MRF and RMC branding behind them. The photograph is exact to the meeting and date, so it earns its place in the report. Additional images will be added only when they can be tied to this event and verified to the same standard.
