Benelli Opens a New TRK Chapter with the 552 and 552X
The Benelli TRK 552 and 552X arrive in India with a 554 cc parallel twin, refreshed touring equipment and prices of ₹7.22 lakh and ₹7.74 lakh. The larger engine gives the family a new centre while the two versions invite different kinds of distance.

Benelli has replaced the TRK 502 generation with a pair of new middleweight tourers. The TRK 552 starts at ₹7.22 lakh, while the more adventure focused TRK 552X is priced at ₹7.74 lakh. Both use a 554 cc liquid cooled parallel twin, giving the family a larger engine and a new place in a segment where the promise of a long ride is often as important as the first impression.

A stronger engine at the centre
The new engine produces 52 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 49 Nm at 6,500 rpm, with a six speed gearbox. Those figures represent a clear step from the outgoing TRK 502. They give the 552 family a little more room to carry speed on open roads and a stronger response for the rider who has luggage, a passenger or a climb ahead.
Adventure touring asks for useful performance across a broad day. A motorcycle can spend an hour moving through traffic, another crossing an open highway and the next negotiating a broken road. The motor has to serve each part of that journey without demanding that the rider constantly change their plan. Benelli’s new engine gives the TRK a more substantial starting point for that kind of use.

Two versions, two ways of reading the road
The TRK 552 and TRK 552X share their engine and touring base, then separate in equipment and setup. The 552 leans towards road based travel, while the X adds a more adventurous wheel and suspension package. The X replaces the TRK 502X at the top of the current line up. That change gives Benelli two clear choices for riders who want the size and wind protection of a touring motorcycle, with different priorities once the tarmac becomes uncertain.
The cockpit brings a colour TFT display and connected functions into the touring experience. Equipment such as heated controls and seats gives the family a more premium character, while the riding position and screen are intended for longer days in the saddle. The available feature set varies by version, so buyers will want to compare the final specification with the road they expect to travel most often.

A new price point for the Benelli tourer
At ₹7.22 lakh, the standard TRK 552 has a lower opening price than the 552X. The difference is ₹52,000, which puts a number against the choice between the more road focused setup and the additional hardware of the X. Bookings are open through authorised Benelli Keeway dealerships across India.
The TRK name has always been about distance. The new pair adds more power and gives that distance two interpretations. One rider may want to collect long stretches of highway. Another may want the confidence to continue when the road narrows or breaks apart. Benelli has brought both intentions into the showroom at once, with a bigger twin and a clearer split between the bikes.
The useful comparison begins with the routes a rider actually takes. A road focused tourer spends more of its life on tarmac, where the standard 552’s price and equipment may be the natural fit. The 552X asks the buyer to pay for a more adventurous setup that makes sense when the road is rougher or the journey includes unpaved stretches. Those are differences to explore in person, because a tall motorcycle has to feel right at a standstill as well as across a long day.
There is a particular pleasure in a tourer that makes a full day feel possible. The wind protection, broad seat and space for luggage turn the machine into a companion for early starts and late arrivals. The 552 family is arriving with that promise and a more powerful twin. A proper first ride will reveal how the new engine feels when the bike is loaded, how the screen handles crosswinds and how comfortable the riding position remains after the novelty has passed.
